Identification of animal origin

Project background:

At present, the phenomenon of adulteration and adulteration of meat (processed) varieties has been reported from time to time in the market. In order to seek illegitimate interests, some illegal traders adulterate meat (products) with varieties from other sources, and even all of them are cheap animal derived ingredients other than nominal ones, such as pig derived ingredients in beef (products), duck ingredients in mutton products, horse meat posing as donkey meat, etc 。

Bovine and sheep derived ingredients in animal derived feed are considered to be the main cause of the spread of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) and pruritus. To prohibit the production, circulation and use of animal derived feeds containing bovine and sheep derived ingredients in epidemic areas has become the main means to prevent the infection and epidemic of animal diseases.

Traditional sensory identification methods, such as color, smell and tissue properties, can not meet the needs of food safety management, especially for some meat products added with pigments, aromatics and deep processing, the reliability of sensory judgment is worse, and the animal derived ingredients in feed can not be distinguished by conventional methods.

Fluorescence PCR technology is a real-time detection of PCR amplification process by using luminescent technology. It can accurately quantify the initial amount of DNA in the sample. It has the characteristics of good specificity and high sensitivity. It can quickly and accurately identify animal derived components in meat and meat products.
